Cougars edge Braves

Trinity Lutheran exploded for 20 points in the fourth quarter as it stunned sectional foe Borden with a 50-47 victory Tuesday.

The Cougars (2-5) led 22-19 at the half and 30-29 after three quarters.

The visitors outscored the Braves by two points in the final eight minutes of play.

Chad Stuckwisch led the Cougars with 13 points while Jacob Rowe and Colton Wischmeier each scored 11.

Rowe sank three 3-pointers and Stuckwisch hit two in the contest.

Trinity Lutheran is off until the Edinburgh holiday tournament next week.
