Sharon Personett, 78, of Seymour passed away at 4:46 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center.

Born June 6, 1938, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Charlie and Ruth Weekly Manuel, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Paul Personett on Nov. 10, 1956, in Hartsville, Tennessee.

Sharon was a member of Central Christian Church for more than 60 years. She graduated from Shields High School in 1956 and worked as the secretary/treasurer at Crown Supply for many years.

Other survivors besides her husband of 60 years include their children, Greg (Deena) Personett, Tony (Diane) Personett and Brian (Gina) Personett; grandchildren, Katie (Chris) Hopkins, Cameron “Mitchel” Personett, Logan Personett, Tucker Personett and Paige Personett; and great-grandchildren, Aslynn and Avery Hopkins.

She also was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Personett.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Kit Bogan officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Central Christian Church building fund or Camp Riley in memory of Nicholas Personett.
