Holiday basket fund continues to grow

The annual Christmas Basket Fund grew to $4,102 with the addition of $390 in donations through Wednesday afternoon.

The newest donations are:

» In memory of Michael Bobb and Herbert Elmore, $50; from Richard and Janet Bobb.

» Merry Christmas to all of my friends in lieu of Christmas cards and in special memory of Joy Kamman, $100; from Bill Kamman.

» In memory of Brenda Jones, $20; from Norm Jones.

» In loving memory of our parents, Erwin and Esther Wischmeier and Dean and Madeline McKain, Steve Schepman, Julie Moore and in honor of the “McKain Boys,” Roscoe, Richard, Otis, Roland, John, Dean, Jack, Dallas, Max and Lt. Madeline McKain for their service, $100; from Curt and Mary Ellen Wischmeier.

» In memory of Adolph Jaeger and Shirley Day and other family members, $50; from the Jaeger family.

» In loving memory of our parents, Merl and Cordelia Snyder and Palois and Ruth Kerkhof, $20; from Allan and Mary Ellen.

» In memory of John Lynch and Jon R. Lynch, $50; from Donna and Joni.

All donations may be mailed to or dropped off at American Legion Post 89, The Tribune or any branch of Jackson County Bank.

To receive one of the gift cards, people must live in Jackson County and must submit a letter stating their need for assistance. Requests should be mailed to American Legion Basket Fund, P.O. Box 566, Seymour, IN 47274. All requests must be received by today.

There is a limit of one gift card per person and one per address. Requests that list a post office box address will not be accepted.
