This year’s holiday ARTventure, presented by Southern Indiana Center for the Arts, will feature projects themed around the popular Dr. Seuss book “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
Children 4 and older will make their very own Grinch and Max pieces during the event at 11 a.m. Dec. 17 at the arts center, 2001 N. Ewing St., Seymour.
These pieces can be freestanding or center staff can help children punch holes to make ornaments to place on the family Christmas tree. A special glass ornament will be painted green, and a heart will be added.
Cindy Lou from Whoville will make an appearance and read how the Grinch’s heart grew larger as he shared Christmas with all of the Whoville residents. The friendly Whoville residents also will give participants a tour of the pottery barn and print museum if they haven’t visited them before.
Seating is limited to 24 youth, so people are asked to preregister and prepay. The cost is $7.50 per child.
