A 39-year-old man was arrested Friday afternoon outside his home after he became upset with a neighbor and fired seven shots into the ground to “scare them,” police said.
Thomas James Young of Seymour faces a Level 6 felony charge of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon in connection with the incident, reported Friday in the 400 block of Colvin Court, according to a report from Jackson County Officer Jeff Walters.
Walters said he and Indiana State Trooper Seth Davidson responded to the 911 call about shots bring fired in the Ironwood Apartments area on the far east side of Seymour.
During the initial investigation, Walters said police were able to determine the shots had come from a residence on Colvin Court behind the apartments.
