Cougars fall on the road

Borden built a 10-point lead after eight minutes of play and didn’t look back in a 51-45 victory against Trinity Lutheran on Wednesday.
Down 17-7 after one quarter, Trinity (1-5) battled to cut the deficit to 27-20 by half.
After intermission, the Cougars tallied nine points while the Braves scored six.
Despite putting up 16 more in the final quarter, the Cougars couldn’t make the comeback.
Savannah Harweger led the Cougars with 11 points and Abby Hackman added nine.
The Cougars pulled down 23 rebounds, with six from Morgan Gabbard and five by Harweger.
Trinity was called for 23 fouls and turned the ball over 15 times.
On Saturday, the Cougars will host Southwestern.
