The sixth annual Quilter’s Holiday Extravaganza is set for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Celebrations, 357 Tanger Blvd., Suite 101, Seymour.

Admission is $5 for one or both days.

There will be games, prizes, goody bags and a grand prize of a handmade Christmas quilt. Anyone bringing a nonperishable food item will receive another free chance to win the grand prize. The nonperishables will be donated to a local food pantry.

This will be a holiday shopping experience with quilt shops and vendors from six states — Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina, Michigan and Florida.

Antique quilts, gifts, crafts, fabrics, handmade purses from men’s ties, patterns, new quilts, sewing kits, sewing and quilting machines, baskets, jewelry and wooden Christmas trees are among the items that will be available for purchase.

A display of quilts from the book “Quilts Reflecting the Poetry of James Whitcomb Riley” also will be shown, and Joe Callahan from Florida will be on site to sharpen dull scissors. Lunch also will be available.
