Ramona K. Blackburn, 64, of Seymour passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at her home.

Born Dec. 19, 1951, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Marvin and Marian Briner Boicourt, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 9, 1972, at First Marion Baptist Church in Commiskey, she married James E. Blackburn, who survives.

Ramona was a faithful Christian and member of New Hope Church of Acme. She taught Sunday school, women’s Bible study and led worship at the church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, singing, playing clarinet, spending time outdoors and even hunting. She will be remembered as someone who made a difference in people’s lives and for those that knew her, they were truly blessed.

Besides her husband of 44 years, survivors include daughters, Renee’ Wesley of Crothersville and Holly (Joseph) Blackburn-Randall of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Zechariah Wesley, Josiah Wesley, Addy Randall, Jaxson Randall, Faith Randall and Calla Randall; a brother, Randall (Robin) Boicourt of Seymour; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an unborn infant.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday.
