Thelma Joan Andrew, 80, of North Vernon passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.

Born Dec. 19, 1935, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Howard Clay Carr and Minnie Anna Ellis Carr, both of whom preceded her in death. Thelma married Robert Lee Andrew on Jan. 21, 1959, in Seymour. He preceded her in death.

Thelma was a very enjoyable person to be around. If you were in the same room as her you could feel the love and happiness she had for everyone.

Survivors include her children, Dennis Ray (Jan) Andrew McNulty, Rebecca Sue Andrew, Richard (Debbie) Budd, Patricia Miller, Jeffrey (Janice) Andrew, John Andrew, Pamela (Jim) Wilson and Brenda Andrew; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, George Donald (Inez) Carr and Robert (Georgetta) Carr.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Willard Neal Carr, Glen Leroy Carr and Elmer Charles Carr.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Andrew Currao and the Rev. John Barlau officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
