The Indiana Department of Transportation has begun closing segments of southbound Interstate 65’s right lane between Seymour and the Walesboro exit south of Columbus — weather permitting — for concrete patching.

The closures began at 8 p.m. Sunday starting at mile marker 65 and will continue through noon today.

Other closures scheduled include:

» 6 p.m. today through noon Tuesday, southbound right lane closure from the area of mile marker 61

» 6 p.m. Tuesday through noon Wednesday, southbound right lane closure from the area of mile marker 57

» 6 p.m. Wednesday through noon Thursday, southbound right lane closure from the area of mile marker 53

Motorists should anticipate traffic queues during peak travel periods.

Reith Riley is the state’s contractor for this $1.2 million pavement repair project. Nov. 30 is the contract completion date.
