Despite a back-and-forth affair early in Thursday’s match, Crothersville couldn’t take a set in a 25-22, 26-24, 25-2 loss to Austin.
Nikki Hickman led the Tigers’ attack with 11 hits on five kills while Maddie Riley had nine with three.
As a team, the Tigers were 33-for-43 with 12 kills.
Serving, Lacey Hall had four aces while Brittany Ross got two.
Monday, the Tigers (7-17) will host South Decatur before taking on the Class A West Washington Sectional field Thursday.
