Thomas H. Lacer, 78, of Seymour passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, at Covered Bridge Health Campus.

Born Dec. 27, 1937, in Linton, he was the son of Betty Lacer, who survives in Linton. He married Louise Salyers Lacer on Sept. 21, 1974, and she also survives.

Thomas was a retired employee of Crane Navel Base and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church, Austin.

Other survivors include sons, Howard (Dorothy) Lacer of Bloomington, Otha (Judy) Lawless Jr. of Floyds Knobs and Rick (Sherry) Lawless of Austin; daughters, Liz (Jeremy) Steele of Columbus and Tina (Troy) Spires of Greensburg; brothers, Don (Barb) Keller, John (Pauletta) Keller and Bill (Meleah) Keller, all of Linton; sister, Scarlett (Bob) Barker, Linton; grandchildren Derek Steele; Eliza Steele; Ricky Lee Lawless; Christopher Lawless; Brandon Lawless; Doug Baker; Tara Wittmer; Morgan McIntosh, and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Tuesday at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin. A graveside service was held Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery, Linton.
