Thomas H. Lacer, 78,  of Seymour passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.

Born Dec. 27, 1937, in Linton, he was the son of Betty Lacer, who survives at Linton. He married Louise Salyers on Sept. 21, 1974. She survives in Seymour.

He was a retired employee of Crane Navel Base and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Austin.

Other survivors include sons, Howard (Dorothy) Lacer of Bloomington, Otha (Judy) Lawless Jr. of Floyds Knobs and Rick (Sherry) Lawless of Austin; daughters, Liz (Jeremy) Steele of Columbus and Tina (Troy) Spires of Greensburg; brothers, Don (Barb) Keller, John (Pauletta) Keller and Bill (Meleah) Keller, all of Linton; a sister, Scarlett (Bob) Barker of  Linton; grandchildren, Derek Steele, Eliza Steele, Ricky Lee Lawless, Christopher Lawless,  Brandon Lawless, Doug Baker, Tara Wittmer and Morgan McIntosh; and 10 great grandchildren.

The funeral was held Tuesday at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin with the Rev. David Schill officiating.

A graveside service is set for noon today at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
