Nurse appointed vice president of clinical services at Schneck

A registered nurse at Schneck Medical Center has been promoted to vice president of clinical services at the Seymour hospital.

Susan Zabor will play a critical role in developing, communicating and driving organizational strategy while overseeing clinical operations, said Warren Forgey, Schneck’s president and CEO.

Zabor earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Purdue University and her Master of Science in nursing with a specialty in nursing management and leadership from the University of Southern Indiana.

In 1996, Zabor began her career as a staff nurse at Schneck.

In 1998, she continued her nursing career as a staff nurse at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, before returning to Schneck in 2005. Since that time at Schneck, she has held the positions of staff nurse, quality outcomes coordinator and most recently the director of Lean Six Sigma and organizational projects.

In addition to her experience at Schneck, Zabor is certified by the American Society of Quality as a Six Sigma Black Belt.

Zabor will assume her new role Oct. 29.
