Need a girls night out? Look no further


The second Girls Night Out shopping event will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Brownstown and Ewing.

Businesses that will be open include Simply Treasures, Boutique Elise, Casey’s Cakes and Classes, The Mercantile, Blondie’s Pizzeria and Pub, Wild Gourd and Friends, Funky Junk, Brownstown Hardware, a Silpada jewelry sale at the former Deck’d Out Photography Studio, Michie’s Diner, All ‘Bout That Junque, Back Porch Ice Cream and Ewing Unique and Boutique.

At the new Heritage Park, across from the Jackson County Courthouse on East Walnut Street, there also will be a fish fry sponsored by the Brownstown Exchange Club, popcorn and drinks provided by the Jackson County History Center and ice cream from Back Porch Ice Cream.

Live music will be performed by local musicians Tyler Wessel and Justyn Underwood.
