BUTLERVILLE

George Franklin Yeager Sr., 88, of Butlerville died at 9:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2016.

Survivors include brothers, Tony Yeager of North Vernon, and Fred Yeager of Florida; sister, Reba Lucas of North Vernon; daughter, Deborah Rae Hoover of North Vernon; son, George Yeager Jr. of North Vernon; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Ruth Yeager, and daughters, Pamela Joy Upton and Trudy Gay Yeager.

The funeral service will be conducted by the North Vernon Moose Lodge at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery with military honors provided by members of United States Army and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2021.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Josiah D. Yeager Scholarship Fund, Moose Heart, Moose Haven or worldwide education work of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
