The Jackson County Public Library Spilling Ink Writers Club will have the chance to hear author Debi Stanton talking about publishing a book at 2 p.m. Aug. 20 in the meeting room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Registration is not required for this free group, which is open to all ages. Published author and library information services assistant Kathi Linz leads the group, which meets on a mid-month Saturday each month.

Stanton is a magazine editor and publisher and has written many children’s and adult books.

Writers of any or no experience are invited to learn about the writing industry together.
