The Adult Book Club will discuss “The Fault in Our Stars,” by John Green, at 11 a.m. Friday.

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

The Adult Book Club provides an informal atmosphere for patrons older than 18 to share their literary interpretations of the current book selection.

Everyone is encouraged to read the month’s selection before the meeting. You may attend even if you haven’t finished the book as long as you don’t mind hearing how it ends. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussion, but listeners are welcome.

Light refreshments are served by members of the group on a volunteer basis. Extra copies of the book selection are available one month in advance at the library circulation desk. Registration is required.
