BROWNSTOWN

The “Thursday Night Thunder” race at the Jackson County Fair was rained out before activities got started.

The fair board announced they will run all classes from Thursday night and those scheduled for the “Grand Champion Fair Race/4th Annual Paul Crockett Memorial” this Saturday night.

The “Grand Champion Fair Race/4th Annual Paul Crockett Memorial” will feature the “E-Z Lift” Super Late Models and will now be joined by the “P3 Graphix” Indiana Pro Late Model Series, UMP Modifieds, “Woolston Automotive” Super Stocks, “Staff Management” Pure Stocks and the “Pewter Hall” Hornets.

Six racing classes will now compete in the closing grandstand event of the 2016 Jackson County Fair.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $2 for children 6-12 and 6-and-under are free.

Pit passes will be $30 at the pit gate.

Everyone must use the arch gate entrance for this event as the normal front gate entrance is not open for entry during the fair.

Tickets purchased Thursday night before the rains came have to be used this Saturday night only (they will not be honored for any Brownstown Speedway race the rest of the year as they are only good during the Fair races).

Driver draw ends at 5:15 p.m. with hot laps at 6 pm.
