Ready for another great day

0

Hello everyone.

I hope you all had a safe and wonderful weekend.

Is everyone ready for the week ahead? I know for sure I am.

Last week, I worked in the FFA building and the 4-H building as well. I did everything from painting buildings and fences to checking in and putting ribbons on 4-H’ers amazing projects.

On Saturday, we had our open swine show. I was so excited for it but a bit nervous though. With all the nerves and excitement mixed, my sister and I combined got grand and reserve Hampshire boars, third and fourth place on our tam worth gilts and fourth and fifth on our cross gilts.

But, we couldn’t have done it without some special help. I would like to take this opportunity to extend a huge thank you to my amazing family, especially my grandparents. Without you guys, I don’t know what I would do. So, thank you.

During the show, the annual pork princess contest was held. There were seven amazing young ladies out there including me. Last year’s pork princess, Karrington Koester, gave an amazing speech and then crowned this years Jackson County Pork Princess.

I’m proud to tell you that this year, I am wearing the crown and sash. I want to thank the Jackson County Pork Producers for this amazing opportunity. I will be working in Pork Producer and Cattlemen associations stand throughout the week so stop on by and get an awesome pork burger.

To all my readers, please don’t hesitate to say hi.

Because, I love hearing feedback, and meeting new people.

Yesterday, I worked in the Pork Producers stand and helped my mom at the republicans booth and attended the frog jumping contest.

Today, my plans are walking around with my friends, and attending this years Spelling Bee because my little sister is representing Cortland Elementary.

I hope everyone has an amazing day, and make sure to stay cool and keep hydrated.

Signing until tomorrow,

Kaelen Eglen
