The Crothersville community is invited to an ice cream social from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Hamacher Hall.

This family-friendly event, featuring ice cream, assorted toppings, cookies and drinks, is sponsored by the Crothersville Historical and Cultural Arts Association.

Children are welcome but will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Hamacher Hall is at 211 E. Howard St. in the former Presbyterian church building. It is the site of various events throughout the year, including a dinner theater, soup suppers, historical displays, an arts and crafts show and a community Christmas event, all sponsored by the Crothersville Historical and Cultural Arts Association.

That group exists for the purpose of encouraging interest among area residents in Crothersville history and participation in and enjoyment of the arts.
