The Medora Senior Citizens Center will serve as a site for a Jackson County Health Department outreach program from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Department staff will be available at the center to provide education and support to individuals who are interested in learning more about healthy eating and exercise or reducing/quitting tobacco use and what vaccinations are recommended for certain age groups. There will be confidential HIV and Hep-C testing.
The health department plans to bring the outreach program to the center from 1 to 4 p.m on the third Monday of each month.
The center also is sponsoring a fundraiser for Medora Community Schools from 2 p.m. until the food runs out on July 23.
The menu will feature pulled pork sandwiches and other food. There also will be a bean-bag-toss tournament, dunking booth and other activities until 9 p.m. that day.
The center also is available for rental. For information, call Bill Drees at 812-592-4234.
