VALLONIA

Gloria Dean Gardner, 80, of Vallonia, died at 4:59 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Salem Crossing. She had been ill for three days.

Born Sept. 27, 1935, in Washington County, she was the daughter of Charles and Goldie Blackwood Fleenor, both of whom preceded her in death. She had been married to Leonard D. Gardner, who also preceded her death.

She had worked as a beautician.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date, and burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery.
