St. Peter’s Ladies Aid June Meeting

0

The Ladies Aid of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church met at June 2 in the meeting room at the Brownstown church.

The Rev. Jeffrey Patterson led in singing the hymn “Come Holy Ghost, in Love.” For devotions, he talked about the meaning of the verses and followed with prayer.

Ten members answered roll call. The secretary and treasurer’s reports were read and approved.

Bonnie Duffy gave a report about nursing home visits and visiting those who are sick and shut-in.

Kathy Cunningham gave a report about the altar flowers.

The group has had a bake sale at the Jackson County Watermelon Festival for years but decided not do so this year.

A committee of Rose Elmer, Loretta Hoevener and Duffy will plan a 70th birthday party for Cunningham sometime in the fall.

There will be no business meeting in July and August.

Cunningham and Bertie Roettger will be on the visiting committee.

Hostess Helen Kellermeier was thanked for her work.

The meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer.
