FREETOWN

Thomas L. Sprague, 68, of Freetown passed away at 12:15 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.

Born Oct. 5, 1947, in Seymour, he was the son of Carl Sprague and Helen Taylor Sprague Sutton. He married Ann “Susie” Taylor Stewart Sprague, who survives.

Mr. Sprague was retired from Reliance Electric, Reeves Plan and Baldor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1967. He was a member of the American Legion, and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Other survivors include two children, Debbie (Bobby Mann) Ridlen and Carl (Rhoda) Sprague; a stepdaughter, Lyndsay (Darrell) Kendrick; a sister, Patricia Klakamp; five grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Cordes and two wives, Shirley Duke Sprague and Erma Lentz Sprague.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Winkelpleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown. Burial will be at Freetown Cemetery with military graveside rites.

Visitation will begin at noon.
