Brenda Jane Taguri, 61, of Bartow, Florida, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016, in Gainesville, Florida.
Born Feb. 1, 1955, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Marvin Hackman, who survives, and Norma Snyder Hackman, who preceded her in death. She had been married to Abdu Taguri, who also survives, for 37 years.
She graduated from Purdue University. She moved to Bartow 21 years ago and worked for the Polk County School Board as a demographic and planning coordinator.
Besides her husband, other loving survivors include her children, Mohamed Taguri and Leila Taguri; siblings, Gary (Cathy) Hackman and Pamela (Ron) Cunningham; daughter-in-law, Jaimee Taguri; son-in-law; Scott Modetz; and grandchildren, Taigur Taguri, Taicen Taguri and Zuri Mae Taguri-Modetz.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Vallonia. There will be a private interment service.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
