Artist reception, concert planned

Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will conduct an artist reception Friday prior to the kickoff of the annual JCB Friday Night Live summer music series.

Above&Beyond Art of Spray artist Tyler Emery from the Holton area will be available at 5 p.m. to talk about his art. At 6 p.m., he will be demonstrating his techniques for the public viewing. Emery’s art will be on display through June 29.

Bad Medicine, featuring Kris Williams, Luyen Le, Tyler Wessel, Monica Kriete, Cody Moore and Ryan Holle, will play from 7 to 9 p.m. on the outdoor stage of the center at 2001 N. Ewing St., Seymour.

The public is invited to bring their lawn chairs, snacks and coolers for an evening of music.
