Trinity United Methodist Church at 333 S. Chestnut St. in Seymour is partnering with the Bicentennial Planning Committee of Jackson County to present an afternoon of “Church Art, Music and Architecture” at 1:30 p.m. June 5.

This event will feature music from Indiana composers, using the church’s chimes and organ obtained from M.P. Moeller Co. of Hagerstown, Maryland. The history of this congregation, that of its current building and the story behind its stained glass windows will be shared.

The event will close with the singing of the Indiana state song, “On the Banks of the Wabash.”

Other extra treats will include a Hoosier puzzle, a large traveling bison, refreshments and the opportunity to see the train display of the Southern Indiana Model Train Club.

Handicap accessibility is available on the east side of the church adjacent to Laurel Street.
