SPARK Club set to meet

Six Jackson County 4-H members recently met at the Bicentennial Headquarters in Brownstown for the first Bicentennial SPARK Club meeting.

This was the first of six meetings that members can attend at various locations around the county to learn about the county and state history.

The first meeting gave 4-H members the opportunity to:

  • Receive a tour of the Bicentennial Headquarters museum
  • Play a bicentennial county bingo game that taught facts about each county, which was created by Purdue Extension Jackson County summer assistants Samantha Silver and Amanda Stuckwisch
  • Work on the Jackson County bicentennial puzzle
  • Participate in a bicentennial photo booth
  • Write notes to be included in a time capsule for the future residents of Jackson County

Attending were Abby Stuckwisch, Denise Brock, Jada Miller, Luke Lanam, Peyton Brock and Rehgen Stuckwisch.

If you are interested in joining the Bicentennial SPARK Club for future meetings, contact Purdue Extension Jackson County at 812-358-6101. The next meeting will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Jackson County Visitor Center, 100 N. Broadway St., Seymour.
