Helen Marie Roberts, 90, of Seymour passed away at 10 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2016, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour under the caring staff of Schneck Hospice.

Born Dec. 19, 1925, in Patriot, in Switzerland County, she was the daughter of Golda and Pearl Rodgers Chapman, both of whom preceded her in death.

Helen was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, White Creek. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and friends. Some of her hobbies were quilting and sewing, and her passion was working in her garden.

Survivors include her son, Gayle (Letty) Wheeler; grandchildren, Michelle Eggersman (Matthew) Taulman, Aaron (Stacy) Eggersman, Gary (Joanne) Wheeler and Greg (Misty) Wheeler; and great-grandchildren, Jesse and Eric Taulman, Olivia, Oliver and Owen Eggersman and Michael and Ashley Wheeler.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Elaine Marie Wheeler Eggersman; brothers, Lloyd Chapman Sr. and Golda Chapman Jr.; and sisters, Mattie Kuykendall and Alice Neice.

The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, White Creek, with the Rev. Ed Keinath officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, White Creek.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of service Tuesday.
