Don’t be afraid to trust in God

0

Wouldn’t it be great to really come to the place that you truly believed that God was at work in all things for your good?

Isn’t that what Paul said in Romans 8:28? He did not say that all things were good. He said God can bring good from all things. Do you truly believe that?

When you choose to trust God, it will revolutionize your perspective on faith and life. Learning to trust God is what enables us to follow him closely in times of uncertainty.

The psalmist, David, responded the way he did to the trials of life because we was absolutely confident that God was with him every step of the way.

It wasn’t always like that. But his faith in God had grown through multiple encounters that had proven again and again that God could be trusted.

You don’t have to trust God. You can choose to live life on your own. You don’t have to give God any consideration at all if that is your choice.

You can try to stay in control if that is what you want to do, and you can miss out on what God could have done and would have done if you had only learned to trust him and surrender to his purposes and plans for your life.

In the struggle we face in life, we don’t know all that is going on behind the scenes. We have no idea what tomorrow holds. Uncertainty is a fact of life. Uncertainty is about the only thing you can be sure of in life. You might as well just go ahead and prepare for it.

But in the midst of all of the uncertainty, be sure you remember this: Uncertainty is not evidence of God’s absence or inactivity.

In fact, uncertainty may be the time he is most active in our lives.

Uncertainty is not the time to doubt. It is the time to follow God closer than ever. Our Heavenly Father is the master of uncertainty.

He is never surprised or caught off-guard. He is always in control. He is at work, even when you don’t see how and he can be trusted. You never have to be afraid of trusting an unknown future to a known God.
