Amy was a 1988 graduate of Seymour High School and most recently was employed at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour managing the medical records as a qualified medications aide. She enjoyed time with her family and her dog, Bonzy. Her faith was strong, and she was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seymour and was active in the formation of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scottsburg. She enjoyed learning the word of God.

She loved gardening, crafting and arts. She was passionate about the American Cancer Society and helped raise funds through Relay for Life. Amy was such a fighter and was so determined as she fought her own battle with cancer. She has been such an inspiration to all.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Myka Hays (fiancé, Mitch Wetzel) and Emerald Hays (fiancé, Kody Kamman), and two grandchildren, Remi and Ryan Wetzel, all of Seymour.
