Renee Hallett, 71, of Brownstown, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at her residence.
Born June 27, 1944, in Clearspring, she was the daughter of Aaron Lewis and Ethel Gray Hubbard, both of whom preceded her in death. On Jan. 27, 1977, she married Harry Hallett Jr., who survives in Brownstown.
Renee was a member of Brownstown Christian Church and a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the position of stenographer. She retired from Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.
Survivors include three sons, Aaron Smith of Seymour and Pat Smith and Edmond (Whitney) Hallett, both of Brownstown; a stepson, David (Mary) Hallett of Brownstown; two stepdaughters, Nancy Mills of Seymour and Timberly Trueblood of Columbus; two brothers, Noel (Juanita) Hubbard of Bedford and Paul Hubbard of Brownstown; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Smith.
Per her wishes, the family has chosen cremation.
A memorial service will be at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Brownstown Christian Church with Doug Pogue officiating.
