Brownstown Exchange Club to host service awards dinner

Brownstown Exchange Club’s seventh annual community service awards dinner will be 6 p.m. June 1 at W.R. Ewing Banquet Hall, 1103 to 1105 W. Spring St.

Honorees include Lynn Hinnefeld, who will receive The Book of Golden Deeds Award. It’s the National Exchange Club’s highest award, recognizing dedicated community leaders who have given selflessly of their time, talents and resources toward making their communities better places to live.

Joe Reynolds will be honored with the Brownstown/Ewing Cultural Heritage Award for his efforts to preserve the history and culture of the community.

The six Brownstown Central High School Students of the Month for 2015-16 will be honored. They are Cynthia Edwards, Mason McClure, Madison Persinger, Lute Lahrman, Hannah Gallion and Trenton Rogers. Gallion, the club’s Youth of the Year, will be awarded a $250 college scholarship.

Pastor Kevin Stiles of the Brownstown United Methodist Church will provide the invocation for the dinner, which is open to the public. The cost is $25 per person.
