HHC contest postponed mid-match

COLUMBUS — The Hoosier Hills Conference girls tennis semifinal match between Seymour and Columbus East was suspended until today.

The Olympians lead all three singles matches, while the Owls lead both doubles matches, with all five still in the first set. Seymour’s Emma Wood and Lindsey Hume lead Esta Morrison and Kendall Gerken 4-1 at No. 1 doubles, and Addie Rudge and Katie O’Mara lead Carol Travis and Maddy Rhodes 3-2 at No. 2 doubles.

East’s Megna Chari leads Hallie Crenshaw 2-1 at No. 1 singles, Adycin Rager leads Megan Baurle 3-2 at No. 2 singles, and Alaysha Pollert leads Lou-Anne Hoarau 2-1 at No. 3 singles.

The winner of today’s match will host Floyd Central for the HHC championship Saturday.

The loser will host New Albany in the third-place match Saturday.
