Seymour Health Advisory Council is sponsoring a free 5K Fun Run and Walk on Saturday.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. at Seymour High School, with registration and check-in from 9 to 9:45 a.m.

All participants must register. Registration forms are available online at scsc.k12.in.us or at check-in the day of the race.

The course will begin and end at the high school and will follow clearly marked city sidewalks and streets.

A one-mile course also will be available.

This is not an officially timed race, but is an event to promote family wellness. Children ages 10 and younger must have an adult present.

Celebration zones will be set up at each kilometer. Those completing the 5K may register for door prizes, including a Fitbit and other wellness-related items.

Drawings for door prizes will take place following the race. Winners must be present to accept prizes.
