The books are available to check out at the library checkout desks.

On the second Friday of each month, the Book’s Night Out group meets in a restaurant to discuss its monthly book. Led by information services assistant Stephanie Sluder at Tokyo Hibachi and Sushi, 1519 E. Tipton St., Seymour, this month’s discussion will be about “Paper Towns” by Indiana author John Green at 7 p.m. Friday. This book is an Indiana Humanities Next Indiana Bookshelf grant book. Anyone planning to attend should bring money if they want to eat.

The discussion group at the Crothersville Library, 120 W. Main St., meets on the third Wednesday of each month. This month’s meeting at 6 p.m. May 18 will cover the book “Montana 1948” by Larry Watson.

The Fantastic Fictioneers plan to gather and comment on the book “Dead Wake” by Eric Larson at 11 a.m. May 20 at the Seymour Library. Led by volunteers Ann Schwein and Sharon Kamman, this group meets the third Friday of each month.

The Medora Library discussion group will meet at 6 p.m. May 23 to talk about Denise Hunter’s “Surrender Bay.” This group meets the last Monday of each month at the library at 27 W. Main St.

The Seymour Library Books by Night group will meet at 6 p.m. May 25 to have a conversation about the book “The Swerve” by Stephen Greenblatt. The group meets bimonthly.
