All Seasons Garden Club met at the home of Nita Bridges for its April 4 meeting.

Bridges and co-hostess Jean Barkman served a light supper to 17 members. Karen Lanam, Kathy Rush and Susie Schnikter were welcomed as new members.

Vice president Becky Hackman conducted a short business meeting. Judy Bobb announced the garden party for Lutheran Community Home residents was April 13.

Rita Wischmeier of Sawdust, Stitches and Such circulated cards informing members of Jackson County’s newest event, Backroad Gypsie’s Country Cruise, on June 3 and 4. Local shops participating in the vintage market tour will have flower and garden items along with antiques, vintage and country primitives and many interesting and creative finds.

Bridges informed the group of the annual White River Resource Conservation and Development Wildflower Hike, which was April 30 at Feldun-Purdue Agricultural Center in Lawrence County.

Milkweed to Monarch packets along with Burpee Bee Garden mix were available. There is a nationwide effort to become involved by planting seeds to help build pollinator habitats and help pollinators.

Favors of garden journals were given to each member. Sandy Kovener won the door prize, a terra cotta planter of pansies.
