Francisco Muñoz Sr., 71, of Seymour passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born Oct. 10, 1944, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Nicolas Muñoz and Sabina Burgos. On Jan. 9, 1969, in Humacao, he married Antonia Rodriguez, who survives.

Francisco enjoyed spending time with his family and loved baseball.

Other survivors include children, Francisco Muñoz Jr., Jorge Luis Muñoz, Maria Muñoz and Orlando Muñoz; eight grandchildren; and three sisters, Carmen, Ramona and Socorro Muñoz.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Juan Jose and Jesus Muñoz.

The funeral service will be at noon Thursday at Voss Chapel.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until time of service Thursday.

Memorials may be made to the Seymour High School baseball program.
