Daniel Jacob Long was silently born at 9:47 a.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016, after already having gone to be with Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

Daniel was the son of Andrew and Vonda Long. He is survived by his brothers, Drew and Connor; aunt, Melissa Van Osdol of Columbus; uncle, Matt Long of Frankston, Australia; paternal grandmother, Joy Long of Melbourne, Australia; and maternal grandparents, Sandra Todd of Columbus and Greg Todd of Croswell, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Long.

Daniel was our miracle baby and gave us hope and joy during his short life. He was very loved and will never be forgotten. We long for the day when we reunite with him in heaven.

In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate a remembrance gift to one of the following: Teddy bears can be donated to the bereavement coordinator at St. Francis Hospital, 8111 S. Emerson Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46237 to help other children who have lost their siblings; or Ellen Joy Photography of Indianapolis and the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation, which provided volunteer photographers to record his short life with us.
