Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge will celebrate Earth Day on Saturday with a volunteer work day and refuge cleanup.

Everyone who enjoys the outdoors is invited to come out, get some exercise and help improve Muscatatuck, park ranger Donna Stanley said.

The event will start at 9 a.m. at the refuge’s visitor center and include work for volunteers of all ages and abilities, including trash pickup, work on the visitor center’s nature discovery and wildflower areas and invasive species removal.

Scouts participating in the event may have an opportunity to complete certain badge requirements by prearrangement with refuge staff.

The refuge is at 12985 E. U.S. 50 east of Seymour.
