New scholarship available for ag students

Ivy Tech Foundation has partnered with Jackson County Co-op Credit Union to offer a new annual $500 scholarship for Ivy Tech Community College students in Jackson, Bartholomew and Jennings counties.

The scholarship is designed to help support students who have demonstrated academic success and plan to pursue a degree in agriculture, according to a news release from Ivy Tech.

The scholarship is valued at $500 per year and will be awarded beginning this fall to a full- or part-time student from Jackson, Bartholomew or Jennings counties.

Eligibility requirements include students must plan to pursue a degree in agriculture, have completed at least one semester, have a minimum grade-point average of 2.5 and can demonstrate financial need.

Students may apply for the scholarship by visiting the Ivy Tech scholarship website, ivytech.edu/financial-aid/scholarships.html.
