Ceara June Engel Flatt, 71, of Brownstown passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.

Born Jan. 9, 1945, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Frank Martin and Naomi June Hanner Engel Jerrell, both of whom preceded her in death. On Feb. 20, 1981, in Seymour, she married Alvin Flatt who also preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 2008.

Ceara worked as a waitress and was a caring homemaker to her family. She loved anything Elvis, watching wrestling and collecting wrestling memorabilia, and making, collecting and wearing jewelry.

Survivors include her children, Melissa Sue (Timothy) Crail, Andrew Lee Graham Jr. and Alvin Jonathan (Brenda) Flatt; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Connie Sue (Melvin) Salmon.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday.
