BROWNSTOWN

Helen Andis Higbee McMillin, 96, of Brownstown, died at 2:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.

Born July 16, 1919, in Carthage, she was the daughter of Earl and Nellie McGee Andis, both of whom preceded her in death. On Oct. 10, 1939, she married Fred Higbee, who preceded her in death.

Helen was a homemaker.

Survivors include her children, Melvin Higbee of Florida, Sue Harris of Seattle and Judy Carter of Arizona; a brother, Richard Andis; two sisters, Betty Ervin and Jean Tillison; a daughter-in-law, Grace Ray; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home in Vallonia with Chris Criminger officiating. Burial will be at Washington Park Cemetery North in Indianapolis.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday.
