DSI planning annual festival

Developmental Services Inc. plans to conduct its eighth annual D-Vine Winter Wine and Beer Festival from 1 to 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at The Commons, 300 Washington St., Columbus.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the event. Admission includes wine and beer tasting, chances to win door prizes, a commemorative D-Vine wine or beer tasting glass, and live music from The Circle City Train Wreck. The band performs classic, contemporary and indie rock covers as well as original tunes.

More than 850 people attended the 2014 festival, which raised more than $20,000 to benefit people with disabilities.

Tickets are available online at dsiservices.org or at DSI, 2920 10th St., Columbus. You must be 21 or over to attend.

Wineries and breweries planning to participate include Best Vineyards, Buck Creek Winery, Butler Winery, Chateau Thomas Winery, Ertel Cellars Winery, Harmony Winery, Holtkamp Winery, Huber Orchards, Quaff On! Brewing Company, Rettig Hill Winery, Salt Creek Brewery, Simmons Winery, Three Pints Brewpub, Traders Point Winery, Windy Knoll Winery, Winzerwald Winery, 450 North Brewery and Eclectic (gifts).

DSI provides services to children and adults with disabilities in Brown, Bartholomew, Decatur, Jackson, Jennings, Jefferson, Shelby, Johnson, Monroe, Rush and Ripley counties, the Wabash Valley area and most of central and southern Indiana. DSI offers job training and placement, community living, respite care, community integration, day programs and recreational and health services.
