A convenience store on the east side of Seymour remained open Saturday despite a Florida woman crashing her vehicle through the front glass of the building.

The woman, Rose Gibson, 62, of Tampa was not injured in the incident, reported at the Circle K, 2120 E. Tipton St., and no customers were hurt either, Seymour police report.

Gibson said told police she stopped to get a drink and that’s the last thing she remembers. She said she had no idea what happened to cause her vehicle to crash into the building.

She was evaluated by Jackson County Emergency Medical Services personnel after the wreck, reported at 12:20 p.m.

Circle K remained open for business during the clean-up process.
