Homemakers club celebrate Christmas

Hearts of Home Extension Homemakers Club met Dec. 17 for its Christmas party for lunch at Larrison’s Diner and meeting at Mary McIntosh’s home.

President Glenda Neawedde opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and homemakers club creed.

The thought for the day was read. Janet Jarvis gave devotions entitled “The Ultimate Giver.”

Roll call was given by asking “What’s the best gift you gave to someone?”

Neawedde gave the group lesson, “Health Benefits of Smiling,” and “A Christmas Legend” was read.

Citizenship was given by Jarvis entitled “Land of the Indians.”

Debbie Shubert read “The Silver Pine Cone.”

Members donated socks to seniors at the nursing home.

McIntosh served a pumpkin roll for dessert.

Secret Pal gifts were exchanged, and everyone enjoyed listening to Christmas music.

The next meeting will be Jan. 21 at McIntosh’s home.
