Past Presidents Club meets for December

Jackson County Extension Homemakers Past Presidents Club met Dec. 12 at Karen VonDielingen’s home for the group’s Christmas party.

The family room was decorated for the holidays with a lighted tree and a manger scene.

The committee of VonDielingen, Peggy Burns and Jeanette Hackman served a luncheon of egg casserole, fruit cup and various sweet breads. Favors were decorated pretzels.

Vice president Linda Booher presided at a brief business meeting. She gave the final report for the homemakers scholarship bake sale. All clubs participated, and $627 was earned.

Thirteen members responded to roll call by telling what brings them joy.

A game of left, right, center was played with Jeanie Schneider winning the prize. Gifts were exchanged through a reading of “The Night Before Christmas.”

The next meeting will be March 19 with a committee of Julie Nay as chairwoman, Nina Hackman and Nancy Nay.
