The annual Christmas Basket Fund grew to $11,194 on Tuesday with three donations totaling $400.
The new donations are:
In loving memory of Adam and in lieu of Christmas cards, $250, from Joe, Theresa, Nathan and Rachel Joray.
Merry Christmas, $100, from Anthony Rust and Marsha Monroe.
In memory of our parents, Bill and Helen Koerner and Harlan Masters, $50, from Ed and Tammy Koerner.
The 2014 Christmas Basket Fund raised $11,345, which was enough money to provide 300 gift cards to needy people in the county. In 2011, a record $20,130 was donated.
Now in its 70th year, the project is sponsored by American Legion Post 89 in Seymour in partnership with Jay C Food Stores, Jackson County Bank and The Tribune.
Donations may be mailed to or dropped off at American Legion Post 89, The Tribune or any branch of Jackson County Bank.
