SEYMOUR
Imogene Terkhorn, 82, of Seymour died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at her residence.
Born April 26, 1933, in Paris Crossing, she was the daughter of Corte and Hallie Hortenbury Grant, both of whom preceded her in death. On May 23, 1952, she was united in marriage to Henry Kasper Terkhorn Jr., who preceded her in death.

She and her husband traveled the world, with stops that included Germany, Brazil, England and Venezuela. They also were longtime members of Zion Lutheran Church in Seymour. Imogene, who loved to cook and bake, volunteered for many years to make dozens of apple dumplings for the annual Oktoberfest. She also enjoyed reading, playing cards and shopping, and most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela (Jeff) Schelling of Racine, Wisconsin; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Grelle and Irene Terkhorn, both of Seymour; five grandchildren, Todd (Cher) Sorenson, Jenina Sorenson, Lindsey Sorenson, Jessica (Tim) Schelling Dingee and Jordan Schelling; a great-granddaughter, Liberty Grace Sorenson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Sorenson; three brothers, Corte Grant Jr., Joe Grant and Leon Grant; and two sisters, Anita Evelyn Sovern and Etta Mae Napier.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the compassionate care and friendship Imogene received from her wonderful caregivers during the past few years. The family also thanks Schneck Hospice and Schneck Medical Center.
